" Nero"

Nero.. now known as Romeo..

A letter from his new owner......

Hello,

Nero is going excellent, we have renamed him Romeo as he stole my heart when I met him. After settling in to his new home I started to do a lot of ground work with him, We have now started lessons under saddle and he is coming along in leaps and bounds (true standardbread style). We are aiming to start competing in reining shows early next year and im sure he will be in it to win it. He is such a big softy, not a mean bone to be seen, always there ready for attention lapping up cuddles and falling to sleep on your shoulder when getting scratches lol life is good. He has defiantly found a forever home with me and it will be an awesome adventure helping him achieve his full potential. Thank you so much to every one that helped out with him and all the best with all your future horses im sure they will be just as beautiful as my Romeo with potential plus. I will be sure to update you when he starts competing and let you all know what he is up to.

Thank you Sarah

" Xena"

Hi guys just wanted to let you know Xena has really settled in.  She is really wonderful with Brianna now and so tolerant of her climbing on and off.

We had her shoes taken off way back and her feet are so good ,  which I was really relieved about .  Other than that all is wonderful , and we love her to bits,

Regards

Carol

             Jess "

Jess participating in the 2010 Pink Ribbon Ride

Hi,

Just thought you would like an update on Jess, we just got home from the 20km "Pink Ride" in the outback at Longreach.  My Dad rode for the first time in 38yrs and he did the whole 20km on Jess.  She was wonderful to him.  We had not ridden her since we bought her but when we got to longreach (680km from Rocky) we unloaded the horses and i was riding my Rio to stretch him out ready for the ride the next day and we took Jess for a walk with us.  We were working Rio in the rodeo yard when Jess kept pawing the ground because she wanted to do something too.  Dad thought seeing we were in yards he would jump on bareback and walk her in the arena with me.  She loved it and so did he ( he only had a halter and lead on her) so i gave him a quick lesson on leg aids and off they went, we got back to the stables and he said "can i ride Jess with you tomorrow"?  And so it happened.  Jess was wonderful and looked after Dad well, she kicked out at the other horses a bit but Dad was ok and he said he never once felt afraid or that Jess would hurt him.  By the end of the ride she was exhausted!!  Dad was having to kick her on just to get her to keep up with the walking pace of the other horses,Ha,ha.

thanks again for Jess, we all love her very much, and i can tell you now this is a forever home for her, Love Katherine
