Update 2 on Perfect Omen aka Moose

Today I am filled with hope! Moose seems to have picked up again and he even seems like his old self. With the hot weather we've had days up to 40 degrees, so with 3 dams it was time to take them all in for a swim, Moose included. Well what can I say not only did he love it, he even managed to canter up from the dam with my daughter on his back. You could not wipe the smile from my face.. what seemed like an eternity, I finally saw what I had been hoping for.. My Old Moose is back! Let's hope...

Back in late 2011 several our standardbreds became sick with an unknown illness...Moose was one of these. He became a very sick horse with muscle weakness in his hind end, his eyes became cloudy and he was very lethargic. Vets where at a loss as to what was causing our horses sickness. We decided to self treat due to the fact that one horse had already been taken to the University to be treated however they couldn't diagnose and he became violently ill within 4 hours, it was decided to eutha...
